Job Description


MV Transportation is seeking a Consumer Advocate to support the rights of the consumer to obtain safe services at fair prices, in compliance with State and Federal regulations and corporate and client policies.

Responsibilities:
  • To support the rights of the consumer to obtain safe services under our paratransit project
  • To provide direct assistance to operators through hot lines, seminars, training, or classes
  • To provide direct assistance to consumers through hot liens, seminars, training, or classes
  • An understanding of issues and concerns for consumers of paratransit services
  • An approachable and acceptable manner and attitude
  • Relevant Consumer Training Certificates/Courses
  • Have an understanding of Consumers' Rights and Responsibilities


Talent Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous training in law, political science, research or public information preferred
  • Have an understanding of Consumers' Rights and Responsibilities
  • Ability to recruit and assist with developing staff to deliver reliable service product
  • Must work effectively with employees and have leadership characteristics
  • Must have excellent time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work equally in a team environment and individually
  • Proficient Computer Skills - windows based computer operating systems and Microsoft Office packages
  • Type at minimum of 25 wpm
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of local training program and local operations
  • Familiarization with service area
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work with all departments
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Must have tremendous follow through skills
