Automotive Mechanic Level C in Los Angeles, CA at MV Transportation

Job Description

MV Transportation is seeking experienced Level C Automotive Mechanics. Successful candidates will perform preventative maintenance, diagnosis, service and repair of steering, suspension, brakes, engines, transmissions, differentials, electrical, wheelchair lifts, and air conditioning systems. Successful applicants must be able to work safely, perform part analysis on damaged parts and assist in inventory control or other duties as necessary.

Position is located in Van Nuys, California.

Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

• Diagnoses, examines, and investigates vehicles to determine causes of defective operation of engines, transmissions, differential units, generators, starters, pumps, air suspension systems, pneumatic systems, radiators, injectors, clutches, air conditioning systems, and other vehicle components.

Talent Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Have obtained minimum one ASE Certification.
• Have a clean driving record.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Combination of at least one (1) to two (2) years of apprentice level verifiable training and experience in automotive mechanics, which may include high school mechanics courses and/or a regional occupational program.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, pre-employment physical and random drug testing.

MV Transportation has been closely following the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines for personal protection equipment (PPE), which now includes gloves and hand sanitizer in our divisions. Our Procurement team was able to secure an order for more than a half-million masks and other personal protection equipment, which have been sent to our divisions.
