Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Maintain two-way communication with operators, providing information on customers, cancellations, and directional assistance where necessary.
  • Monitor operators and trip status, making adjustments and reassignments as necessary to ensure on-time performance.
  • Communicate effectively with Operations Control Center (OCC) staff to address scheduling or passenger issues. 
  • Balance multiple tasks accurately and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Monitors and completes driver sign-in and sign-out daily. 
  • May assign trips to drivers to assure adequate disbursement of trips between all assigned routes. 
  • Participates in analysis and review of operating performance. 
  • Maintain adherence to attendance policy. 
  • Responsible for influencing positive employee morale and quality customer service. 
  • All other duties, as assigned.   

Qualifications

Talent Requirements: 

  • One (1) year previous Dispatcher experience preferred.  
  • Two (2) years of Customer Service experience is preferred. 
  • High School diploma or equivalent. 
  • Experience with Trapeze software.  
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain composure under pressure in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Data entry experience and general knowledge of windows-based computer operating system, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Able to demonstrate professional phone manners while remaining flexible in a dynamic environment. 
  • Knowledge of the service area is a plus.
