Responsibilities
MV Transportation, Inc. is seeking a dynamic and experienced IT Director to lead our organization's applications deployment/support and business systems teams. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of IT applications, systems and processes, and a proven track record in managing complex IT environments that includes both cloud and on-premises environments. - Manage and lead an IT applications support and business systems team ensuring the overall availability and enablement of systems in support of our business and customers.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative work culture.
- Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for team members.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, that include Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, IT Operations, and Service Management
- Ensure applications align with organizational goals and industry best practices.
- Enforce support processes for existing applications.
- Partner with the IT Service Management leader to facilitate troubleshooting efforts and resolution of issues.
- Ensure timely response to user inquiries.
- Collaborate with clients and MV leadership to execute technology roadmaps.
- Collaborate with vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of services.
- Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation.
- Implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
- Understand and participate in maintaining the organization’s budget, but with a focus on identifying return on investment opportunities.
- Drive and own actions and demonstrate accountability for successes and areas for improvement.
Qualifications
Talent Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or requisite experience.
- Proven experience in a leadership role within IT operations.
- Strong technical background with expertise in systems and network administration.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Solid understanding of ITIL and other relevant frameworks.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing technology landscape.
