Responsibilities

MV Transportation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior ITS Manager to lead our Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) team. The successful candidate will oversee the development and implementation of intelligent transportation systems and ensure that they meet our organization's requirements and industry standards.

Responsibilities: 

• Oversee the planning, development, and implementation of advanced intelligent transportation systems

• Ensure ITS projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet established goals and objectives

• Lead and coordinate activities of the ITS team including hiring, training, and performance evaluations

• Manage relationships with vendors, consultants, and governmental agencies

• Prepare and monitor budgets related to ITS projects

• Keep abreast of advancements and trends in the ITS field to ensure our systems remain updated and effective

• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to develop strategies and plans for ITS

• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to ITS

Qualifications

Talent Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field

• Extensive experience in ITS management.

• Strong leadership and project management skills.

• Ability to work well with different teams, including non-technical staff.

• Experience supporting Windows 7, 10, Server, 2012 & 16, and Microsoft Office applications. 

Preferred Requirements:

• Master's degree in a related field.
• Experience in managing city-wide or large scale ITS projects.
• Knowledge of emerging technologies in the ITS field such as connected and autonomous vehicles

Desired Qualifications: 

• Excellent communication and decision-making skills. 
• Experience with desktop, server and network management tools. 
• Experience with Cisco switches and routers. 
• Familiar with backup and disaster recovery.
