MV Transportation has been closely following the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines for personal protection equipment (PPE), which now includes gloves and hand sanitizer in our divisions. Our Procurement team was able to secure an order for more than a half-million masks and other personal protection equipment, which have been sent to our divisions. MV Transportation is seeking an IT Administrator. The ideal candidate will be an IT Administrator with a strong background in desktop, server, network, and database administration. Good planning skills, flexibility, the ability to prioritize workloads, and work well under pressure are critical success factors. Must be able to change priorities at a moment's notice.

Responsibilities:

Provides support for MV's IT environment for a call-center, three (3) operating divisions, and multiple providers. Currently, the environment includes production, training and testing environments supporting approximately 30 servers and 300 desktops, notebooks, & thin-clients located at four locations in the Metropolitan Washington DC area. Responsibilities include desktop, server infrastructure, telephone, application, & network support. Interacts with internal clients on all levels to help resolve IT-related issues for MV's contract, including remote support for providers accessing MV's IT systems. Must be available for after-hours or weekend support as needed and respond in a timely manner. Assists with the procurement of all software, hardware and other IT supplies related to the contract. Ensures that company assets are maintained responsibly.

Trapeze Software Application Duties: Provides support for MV and client staff for existing Trapeze reservations, scheduling, routing, dispatch, eligibility and customer service applications. Develops best-practices and recommend system improvements to optimize features and modules within the Trapeze environments. Assists with testing, installation, implementation and training of application upgrades, as well as new applications, including planning and analysis tools, as they relate to the contract. Create and/or edit documentation related to the installed applications.

Talent Requirements

Education/Experience: College degree or five (5) years of progressive, related experience in applications implementation, support and training.

Preferred Qualifications: Transportation-related applications experience, especially Trapeze PASS. Also, Crystal Reports, SQL Query Analyzer, SQL database management, Microsoft Office Professional applications, MCSE.

Preferred Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

  • Proficient in support of all Windows desktop OS- XP through Windows 10
  • Proficient in support of Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2012, 2016 Active Directory
  • Microsoft SQL2003/2008/2012/2014/2017 database management and query writing
  • Proficient in support of Citrix MetaFrame Presentation Server
  • Remote support tools experience: Kaseya, Remote Desktop, DameWare, PCAnywhere, etc.
  • Firewall administration experience: Cisco
  • WAN/VPN experience: Cisco, Juniper
  • Transportation-related applications experience a plus, especially Trapeze PASS
