Job Description

MV Transportation is seeking a Project Manager to assist with the daily management of service delivery, in compliance with the policies of the contracting agency and in conformance with company procedures. The Project Manager will directly oversee the activities of the bus control office and field supervision and will assist with the oversight of operators. This person oversees the proper use of software and in vehicle technology working constantly with their team to improve service through management of this critical technology. The Project Manager will review all logs and paperwork from the bus controller office, ensure all operator and supervisor shifts are covered, ridership equipment availability, and will ensure daily operating performance and safety on all routes.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Effectively manage customer relations through both direct contact and outreach programs.
  • Identify, select, train and mentor location staff.
  • Effectively and frequently communicate with location staff and support team members.
  • Oversee vehicle maintenance plan and ensures fleet availability to meet service requirements.
  • Oversee safety and training programs, plans and processes to ensure compliance with company, contract and regulatory requirements.
  • Daily, weekly and monthly review of key operational metrics.
  • Ensure that all location financial metrics are managed continuously, exceptions are reported, and action plans are developed to ensure the location meets it financial, safety and operational expectations.
  • Implement, promote and adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Participate in location(s) labor and employee relations activities.
  • Provide insight and information to support location(s) contract renewals.
  • Provide insight to create annual budget.
  • Oversight of driver operations.
  • Assist in the interface with Safety department and initiatives, such as policy, training, and audits.
  • Main interface with Field supervisors and drivers.

Talent Requirements:

  • Must have a minimum of three (3) years of transit management experience and at least seven (7) years of experience in public transportation, experience with ADA Paratransit, airport, and parking lot shuttles a plus.
  • Must have knowledge of operations and dispatch.
  • Computer and financial skills required.
  • Time management skills.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High degree of multi-tasking skills.
