Job Description

MV Transportation is seeking a Recruiting Coordinator to work cooperatively with a recruiting team of on-site and remote recruiter who source, interview and hire employees for the divsion. The Recruiting Coordinator will recruit and oversee recruitment of candidates for the day-to-day operations of a multi-location service. This position is responsible for ongoing Driver and Mechanic recruiting, including activities in job postings, resume review, qualifications management and employee on-boarding. The Recruiting Coordinator will manage not only recruitment process but also a recruiter and any temp resources supporting this process at our two locations in Austin. Recruiting Coordinator must present an organized, thoughtful and efficient approach to managing the team while reporting progress and plans back to the business leadership. MV is a fast-paced business and we are seeking a highly engaged leader, who can help us drive performance, critical hiring and reporting.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead a flexible team of four (4) to eight (8) people supporting division recruitment.
  • Establish daily reporting metrics and drive accountability.
  • Develop recruiting plans and respond to the division needs for Drivers, Dispatchers, Supervisors, Mechanics, etc.
  • Participate and engage in recruiting, sourcing, interviewing and hiring processes for all division needs.
  • Support new hires, ensure follow up and guide new employees through onboarding.
  • Work closely with training team to ensure steady flow of new hires are introduced to class weekly.
  • Confirm completion of all new-hire paperwork who meet the expectation of the job.
  • Coordinate with Qualifications team and local management teams to communicate the status of the candidate's status in the recruiting and hiring process.
  • Manage the recruiting team and develop and refine recruitment processes.

Talent Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources preferred.
  • Two (2) years' experience leading a team in a high-volume operations environment.
  • Minimum of three (3) + years' experience in Recruiting and Talent Acquisition.
  • Must have strong leadership and management skills.
  • Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills and must be highly organized.
  • Experienced with Online Channels, Social Media, Community Outreach and Direct Recruitment.
  • Working knowledge of the transportation industry is preferred but not required.
