Responsibilities:

  • Answer passenger calls in a timely manner and minimizing hold times. 
  • Accurate collection of all necessary trip information within the designated response time. 
  • Provide system information for current and new passengers, as well as for potential passengers. 
  • Provide information to current customers on passenger safety and guidelines for using the paratransit service effectively and answer questions related to booking their trips.
  • Complete data entry of passenger details for specific trip requests, negotiate requested times and provide fare information.
  • Provide follow-up calls to passengers as required by the service needs.
  • Process and communicate passenger advance cancellations in a timely manner.
  • Maintain adherence to attendance policy. 
  • Responsible for influencing positive employee morale and quality customer service. 
  • All other duties, as assigned.   

Qualifications

Talent Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Relevant customer service experience. 
  • Experience with Trapeze software is preferred.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain composure under pressure in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Data entry experience and general knowledge of windows-based computer operating system, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Able to demonstrate professional phone manners while remaining flexible in a dynamic environment. 
  • Knowledge of the service area is a plus.
