Responsibilities
MV Transportation is seeking a Solution Architect (MAP Integrator) whose responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- This role requires a technical candidate to take point on integrating a Mobility Assimilation Platform (MAP) for one of MV Transportation’s clients within the transportation industry
- The technical expert fulfilling this role will work with our client’s IT team, two or more technology partners, and the transportation plan designer (MAP Planner), to help define technical requirements, solution their integration, and then provide technical support and future deployment capabilities
- MV’s client desires a replacement of its current demand response & paratransit software and has identified the front-end application, MoovIt, for the more passenger-facing technology. The client will look to this candidate for technical guidance, identification of the best solution(s) based on technical, operational, and passenger needs, and continued evolutionary thinking as it relates to the future-state roadmap
- Design, coordinate, implement, and manage the evolution of MAP across three phases
- Develop technical architecture diagrams for use in communicating solution across multiple vendors and systems
- This role will encompass some Program Management responsibilities – coordinating vendors and IT teams, but this will not be a primary function
- Learn the transit operation and the impact of this technology deployment across our operation, our client’s operation, and the passengers
- This position will be in the Jacksonville, Florida and is required to be onsite 70% of the time
- Up to 25% of travel may be required
Qualifications
Talent Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in an IT-technical capacity with focus in areas of either applications integrations or systems integrations across full-stack IT
- Six (6) + years of experience as a solutions or enterprise architect providing technical expertise and oversight as it relates to applications and systems integrations across medium or large programs
- Ability to communicate clearly and diplomatically across multiple levels of the organization and across clients and vendors
- Relevant experience in designing and documenting architecture diagrams and integration solutions
- A strong analytical capability with a focus on problem solving when required
- Desire for continuous learning across new technologies and industry trends
- The ability to present materials at various detail levels including technical to executive summary levels
- Experience using Microsoft Office products
Skills and Experience Desired:
- Experience integrating new technologies into a current transportation operation, preferably involving the operational integration of different transportation services from multiple providers
- IT experience within the transportation industry
- Knowledge of transit operations and technical systems available in market
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Business
- Programming experience
