Job Description

MV Transportation is currently seeking a Utility Worker - Facilities who will be responsible for all aspects of maintaining the facility under direction of the Facility Maintenance Manager. He/she will work collaboratively with all MV team members on various duties.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform repair of general maintenance work of facility, including grounds, and equipment; electrical, carpentry and plumbing.
  • Work safely.
  • Keep a clean work environment.
  • Daily janitorial services on restrooms.
  • Work area maintained according to OSHA and EPA regulations.
  • Maintain adequate stores and accurate inventory of cleaning supplies used.
  • Report Inventory needs to Facility Supervisor.
  • Keep clear and up to date records of all repairs made.
  • Perform and turn in daily, all daily work orders.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Talent Requirements:

Knowledge, Ability and Skills:

  • Possess the basic technical and repair knowledge of maintenance processes, particularly as it relates to safety guidelines/parameters, inspection and repair of minor components, structural and building and grounds maintenance.
  • Operation knowledge of mandated safety principles related to personal protective equipment, chemical hazards, lockout/tag out and general shop safety and cleanliness practices.

Additional Requirements:

  • Be able to use Building Maintenance software, as needed.
  • Shuttle buses from primary location to secondary locations.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills that will facilitate clear communication with the Fleet Maintenance manager, Facility Supervisor and all other employees.
  • Knowledge of basic part and component replacement processes.
  • Ability to use efficiently various power and hand tools.
  • Must 21 years old.
  • Carry out all assignments in a prompt and timely manner.
  • Ability to follow oral or written instructions.
  • Ability to communicate efficiently and fluently in both written and oral form.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships.
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
