Job Description

MV Transportation is seeking an individual to provide Administrative Assistance and mid-level IT Technical Support for our Las Vegas division office. The individual shall be a self-starter, highly motivated and able to work in a fast paced environment. The Administrative Assistant/Information Technology Technician is responsible for handling various administrative functions and technology issues related to a transit environment and supporting corporate infrastructure.


  • In the Administrative Assistant component, provides daily support to multiple departments.
  • Maintain photo contact list in Outlook.
  • Maintain organizational charts.
  • Register vehicles at DMV and keep DMV binder up-to-date.
  • Produce monthly newsletter, design/create banners/posters.
  • Update social media/websites. Send out group texts.
  • Relieve receptionist.
  • Set up rooms for meetings, (i.e., food, projectors, tables, etc.).
  • Printer/copier contact.
  • Various errands.
  • Provide desktop, server and network support for RTC operations according to Service Level Agreements (SLA). This includes, but not limited to, desktop, printer and server repair, network maintenance, helpdesk tickets, disaster recovery and other projects as assigned.
  • Support of telephone, T-1 and/or DSL lines.
  • Responsible for supporting local technologies related to transit operations, such as; vehicle communication and video surveillance systems
  • Manage servers at local division; application and file/print.
  • Close interaction with the client's IT department.
  • Thorough understanding of computer, server, network, printer and peripheral hardware.
  • Experience supporting Windows XP, 7, Server 2008 and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Experience with desktop, server and network management tools.
  • Familiar with Cisco switches and routers.

Work Environment:

Office location; can sit for extended periods of time or work in the field around large vehicles; moderate to heavy lifting. This position works Monday through Friday during normal business hours with on-call support as needed for computer and system related issues including early morning, evening and weekend hours.
