Job Description

MV Transportation is seeking a Control Center Manager who will provide support, leadership and direction to assigned operating location to ensure delivery of annual business plans. He/she will control the daily operation of our control center that oversees driving activities in multiple locations. This position coordinates with local teams and supports the overall MV's WAV service in compliance with company policies and procedures.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide management of all control center activities, including dispatch monitoring, fleet coordination, HR activities, and finance and accounting.
  • Identify, select, train and mentor control center staff as needed.
  • Support ongoing driver monitoring activities across multiple technology systems
  • Effectively and frequently communicate with location staff.
  • Support fleet coordination efforts, ensuring that all coordination of vehicle maintenance is planned and performed in a manner that ensures fleet availability to meet service requirements.
  • Provide oversight of multiple technology systems, working with IT Operations and vendor support to ensure reliability and maximum use of these resources
  • Work with the VP and fleet coordinator to make sure that fleet assets are ordered, delivered and inspected pursuant to requirements
  • Support the HR team in ensuring ongoing applicant flows, and management of HR issues, and completion of required training and licensing renewals
  • Support company safety programs, plans and processes to ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as a liaison to client's planning team
  • Perform daily, weekly and monthly review of key operational metrics.
  • Work with the Director of Accounting who will ensure that all location financial metrics are managed continuously
  • Implement, promote and adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Interact with bridges committee to effectuate positive changes to policies, procedures and programs within the control center.
  • Participate in location labor and employee relations activities.
  • Provide insight and information to support location(s) contract renewals.
  • Create and present location(s) annual budget.

Talent Requirements:

  • College degree or equivalent business management experience.
  • Management experience required.
  • Must have a minimum of (5) five years of comprehensive experience in Transit management oversight and a combination of (7) seven years of management or supervisory experience in a transportation environment.
  • Adept in adopting and mastering new technologies.
  • Contract and labor/union(s) negations/expenses knowledge.
  • Must have a full understanding of dispatch, scheduling, Driver recruitment, and safety DOT and FTA compliance.
  • MS Office, strong analytical skills, strong written and verbal communication skills and high degree of multi-tasking skills.
  • Additional duties/responsibilities based upon individual contract requirements.
