Job Description

MV Transportation is seeking a Dispatcher who works to direct the day-to-day route operations and report to the Dispatch Supervisors. This work is done in compliance with the procedures defined by the client and in conformance with company procedures. His/her duties involve daily communication and interaction with drivers and clients. He/she must also organize and conduct activities to assure safe, cost-effective, on-time operating performance. Tracks and reports sign-in/sign-out times, assures routes are timely, and communicates service issues to the Dispatch Supervisors or Dispatch Managers as appropriate.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Active oversight of daily acceptance rate and completion rate on Uber for ALL WAV 515 Drivers
  • Acceptance rates need to be at least 95% or higher. Completion Rate should be at least 85% or higher. Any drivers who fall below 95%/85% will need to be contacted via text, sendhub, and or, called immediately.
  • Daily tracking of schedules.
  • Maintaining schedules and making sure all our drivers show up on time. "No shows" will need to be documented and reported. (A tracker must be maintained).
  • Tardiness must be documented, tracked and reported.
  • Drivers who are not clocked in when on schedule needs to be contacted.
  • Reaching out to drivers for overtime in order for the Division to reach our daily rev goal, and or, fill open shifts due to call outs.
  • Maintaining and upkeep of schedules in Humanity and any changes must be communicated to the Dispatch Supervisor at the division.
  • Maintaining and documenting gas card usages as well as making sure gas cards in addition to receipts are being returned.
  • Shiftyy app must be monitored throughout the shift
  • Takes calls from drivers regarding vehicles and service.
  • Be on time (yourself), clear and constant communication with fellow dispatchers for better handoff of driver performances and attendances.
  • Create daily performance reports to show and indicate which drivers were spoke to, what time and percentage in AR's/CR's of drivers when coached.
  • Must maintain cleanliness in parking lot, garage, and office.
  • Notify Fleet Coordinator when vans are OOS.
  • Update schedule for the following day, print, and post.
  • Complete any tasks as communicated by the Dispatch Supervisor, Safety & Training Manager, and or GM
  • Positive attitude towards drivers and other employees

Talent Requirements:

  • One (1) year previous Dispatcher experience preferred.
  • Two (2) years of Customer Service experience is preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with Trapeze software.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain composure under pressure in a fast pace environment.
  • Demonstrate a high customer service commitment.
  • Able to demonstrate professional phone manner.
  • Knowledge of the service area is a plus.
