MV Transportation has been closely following the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines for personal protection equipment (PPE), which now includes gloves and hand sanitizer in our divisions. Our Procurement team was able to secure an order for more than a half-million masks and other personal protection equipment, which have been sent to our divisions. MV Transportation as a company remains strong and we will be well-positioned to move forward even during these trying times. MV Transportation is currently seeking safe, reliable Driver/Operators to provide freedom of mobility for the elderly and disabled members within our community.

  • Operate agency vehicle in a safe, efficient and courteous manner to destinations as directed by daily schedules.
  • Communicate via two radio in a safe and courteous manner.
  • Provide assistance to passengers as necessary including fastening safety belts, entering/exiting vehicles.
  • Assist disabled passengers when appropriate with wheelchairs or other mobility aids.
  • Accurately complete daily manifests and fuel reports.
  • Inspect vehicle daily and report any maintenance issues to supervisor.
  • Inform office personnel of passenger issues, changes in billing information, and vehicle incidents as required.
  • Report any accidents immediately to the dispatch office and/or operations manager.
  • Comply with all applicable local, state and federal transportation regulations relating to vehicle operation.
  • Attend all mandatory/applicable training sessions, safety meetings, etc.
  • Handle any emergency in a calm and professional manner in accordance with agency policies.

Talent Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a valid Louisiana Chauffer's License or permit, or ability to obtain one (Class C CDL or higher with Passenger Endorsement preferred).
  • Must have a current and valid Driver's License with minimum of five (5) years driving record/history.
  • Must be able to work a varied schedule, including evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
  • Knowledge of the service area streets and freeway network is a plus.
  • Must have full range of motion including the ability to sit for extended periods, stand, bend, squat, stretch, twist, etc.
  • Must maintain a high level of professionalism, demonstrated by a positive attitude, ability to function as a team member and a commitment to the overall mission of the agency.
  • must have flexibility and willingness to changes in schedule and duties as needed according to staff availability.
