Job Description

MV Transportation is seeking a Service Line Entry Level C Mechanic who will be responsible for servicing all our various types of vehicles in our fleet. The position requires the Mechanic to review fluid levels of vehicle systems daily as well as providing proper documentation and tracking of fluid use on required forms. The Mechanic will be responsible for checking the coolant level, power steering fluid and engine oil on various types of vehicles. This position will report to the Maintenance Manager.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Insure that all vehicle fluid levels are within their prescribed operation limits as in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations.
  • Performs lubrication, general inspection, and other related services. Inspects vehicle fluid levels, replenishes as necessary.
  • Work area maintained according to OSHA and EPA regulations
  • Communicates, and consults with all levels of employees.
  • Performs related duties, as required.

Talent Requirements:

  • Detail-oriented and ability to follow direction.
  • Provides efficient, courteous service that exceeds the expectations of our client.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must possess or obtain and maintain a valid Class A or B Commercial Driver License with Air Brake and Passenger Endorsements with in the 90 Days of hire for the local fleet type.
  • Ability to read and write
  • Work well with others.
  • Ability to work without direct supervision
  • Must be able to work any of three shifts - day, evening, or late, as scheduled.
  • Willing to learn
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions
  • Available for training.
  • Able to lift to 70 lbs.
