Job Description

MV Transportation is seeking a Facility Maintenance Manager who is responsible for all aspects of the facility including but not limited to, structure, paint, windows, doors, HVAC, plumbing, hydraulics, electrical, janitorial, managing and documenting the regular preventive maintenance and general upkeep of the client owned facilities. This includes documenting those efforts on a computer based system and providing reports and obtaining quotes as needed. He/she will also be responsible for understanding the terms of the MV and contract requirements in overseeing the three facilities.

Job Responsibilities:

The Facility Maintenance Manager will develop daily personal work assignments for himself and for the facility tech at each location to accomplish the workload of not only the maintenance of the facility and its appearance but management of the facility preventive maintenance program and in addition the following:

  • Perform, facilitate and document all facility maintenance PMI services
  • Diagnose facility issues for repair or communication to subcontractor or the Client including, electrical and HVAC system
  • Prepare and submit records of work performed both manual and computer based as required
  • Record all parts and supplies used on equipment
  • Become familiar with statutes of and regulation pertaining to his trade
  • Ensure safety policies and procedure are followed in the facility
  • Keeps a clean and safe working environment
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Talent Requirements:

  • High School diploma / Two (2) year technical degree desirable
  • Minimum five (5) years progressive facility maintenance experience
  • Must be willing and able to work varied shifts, weekends and holidays as needed/assigned
  • Required to provide tools of the trade
  • Must have a functional understanding of the design, operation and maintenance of commercial office building as well as the facility and components in a heavy duty vehicle maintenance shop ranging from vehicle lifts to vehicle wash systems and versed in SWPPP understanding
  • Must become familiar with advance technologies including alternative fuels
  • Must become proficient in the use of facility diagnostic equipment and troubleshooting techniques
  • Familiar with company policies and procedures
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Excellent attention to detail skills
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Must have CDL
