Job Description

MV Transportation is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Manager who will properly track and manage work schedules and payroll. The Fleet Maintenance Manager will also track and control inventory among other items that are necessary in managing a shop properly. He/she must be able to communicate, write reports and manage meetings with staff. Also, he/she must be computer literate with Word processing, spreadsheets and Microsoft outlook. The Fleet Maintenance Manager will report to the General Manager.

Talent Requirements:

  • Must be able to properly prioritize, implement and manage work schedules, projects and assignments.
  • Must have the ability to track and control parts inventories, vendors and suppliers.
  • Must be able to manage the financial / accounting aspects of a fleet maintenance operation.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of staff in written and oral formats.
  • Must have computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets and Microsoft outlook.
  • Must have technical competence with light / medium duty vehicle repair and preventive maintenance.
  • Must display initiative, professionalism, candor and tact at all times.
  • Must have a minimum of five (5) years fleet / vehicle maintenance experience.
  • Must have a minimum of three (3) years of maintenance supervisory or management experience.
  • ASE or equivalent certifications preferred.
  • Experience with para-transit bus maintenance required.
  • Union experience preferred.
