Job Description

MV Transportation is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Supervisor who is proficient in the most complex and complicated aspects of vehicle maintenance and repairs including but not limited to: basic repairs, air conditioning, electrical, major component rebuild and/or vehicle cleaning operations... By training or experience he/she must demonstrate overall competence in the performance in all phases of service and repair of vehicles. In addition, he/she must be capable of providing mentoring and leadership to all Maintenance Employee's.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate with Maintenance Manager, Other Supervisors and assigned Maintenance Leads to schedule and/or resume vehicle maintenance.
  • Maintain close communication with operations to respond to road calls in a timely manner. Dispatch mechanics, and schedule repairs in an expedient manner.
  • Prepare and submit records of work performed both manual and computer based as required.
  • Record all parts and supplies used on equipment.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a CNG tank inspection certificate.
  • Ensure safety policies and procedures are followed in the shop.
  • Keeps a clean and safe working environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Talent Requirements:

  • High School diploma; two (2) year technical degree desirable.
  • Minimum five (5) years' experience working in a Maintenance Shop environment with multiple vehicle platforms.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain pertinent ASE Bus Technician Certifications.
  • Must maintain a valid California CDL, Class B or above.
  • Familiar with company policies and procedures.
  • Excellent organization skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Must be familiar with and be trained in the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and MSDS documents pertaining to materials and practices in the shop.
