Job Description

MV Transportation is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to work with employees and the regional Human Resources team to investigate, document, and bring resolution to Tier 1 employee relations issues in a manner consistent with the organizations policies, procedures, and state and federal law.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a single point of entry to document and route incoming ER issues (via hotline, email, mail, etc.) to the appropriate party.
  • Conduct Tier 1 internal employee investigations and respond to general inquiries.
  • Conduct initial intake calls (when needed) to identify the nature of the issue.
  • Serve as a liaison with various corporate departments to coordinate responses on inquires related to paychecks, benefits, vacation, etc.
  • Assist the regional HR team in documenting findings and generating close-out letters.
  • Escalate or route as required per escalation matrix.

Experience

  • Ideal candidate will possess three (3)+ years' experience in Employee Relations or HR Generalist role.
  • Must be able to use judgement to assess risk and sensitivity level of employee concerns.
  • Experience in investigating and resolving complaints and working with employees to resolve issues.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, PHR/SHRM-CP certification preferred.
