B Level Mechanic Wanted

MV Transit is looking for an experienced B Level Mechanic to join our team in Curtis Bay. We offer Benefits, Paid Time Off, Holiday Pay, Training and Career Advancement.

The "B" Level Mechanic will perform routine maintenance and repairs on all fleet vehicles and shop equipment and facility. This position also requires the tech to be able to do all mechanical and electrical repairs on vehicles such as engine and transmission replacements, alignments, air conditioning repairs, with some back ground in drivability diagnosis and electrical repairs.

Looking for a "B" Mechanic willing to work 3rd shift.

The "B" Mechanic will complete all related repair documents legibly and in a timely manner. It is also recommended that this position will receive training to assist or stand in for the "A" Level Mechanic.

The Mechanic must perform all other duties as required and needed to operate the division or as directed by the division Maintenance Manager, MV Management and/or Support Staff. Must be a go-getter and self-motivated.


  • High school graduate or its equivalent.
  • Three (3) years of experience in the repair and maintenance of all types of automotive equipment or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Good knowledge of the repair, maintenance, and modifications of light and heavy gasoline, Diesel, electric, and automotive equipment, including transit vehicles.
  • Ability to use all types of automotive equipment and tools effectively.
  • Familiar with use of repair manuals and parts books.
  • Must possess a valid MD Driver's License or the ability to obtain one.
