Job Description

MV Transportation is seeking an MV WAV Operations Supervisor who will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient operations of their dispatch shift, including:

  • Filling shifts with drivers.
  • Assessing attendance points.
  • Monitoring service performance standards throughout the day.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Filling shifts/routes with drivers, from the run cut, and extra board drivers.
  • Ensuring drivers stay logged into the application for their required hours, and are accepting trips.
  • Ensuring all driver on their shifts complete and sign manifests, accounting for hours of duty, and questioning drivers on their performance.
  • Properly assessing attendance points with drivers.
  • Ensuring standards of excellence, including all MV policies and procedures are followed and maintained.
  • Ensure drivers properly conduct pre and post trip inspections.
  • Inspect vehicles.
  • Supervising drivers throughout their shift, in person, and through company's technology platforms.
  • Coach, council, mentor and discipline employees as required.
  • Professional demeanor and appearance.
  • Reliable in attendance.
  • Team player and helpful to staff, management, and peers.
  • Any other duties as defined by management.

Talent Requirements

Education: High School diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.

Experience: Previous clerical, data entry, customer service experience preferred but not required; must be able to fluently speak English.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Customer service.
  • Data entry.
  • Knowledge of service area.
  • General knowledge of windows-based computer operating systems.
  • Ability to read, write and speak both English and Spanish.
  • Ability to communicate effectively on all levels.
  • Ability to use multi-line phone system.
