Job Description

MV Transportation is seeking a Driver Service Operations Supervisor to assist the General Manager with the daily management of Driver Service, in compliance with the policies of the contracting agency and in conformance with company procedures. The Driver Service Operations Supervisor will directly oversee road supervision and will assist with the oversight of operators subsequent to the direction of the General Manager. This person oversees the proper use of in-vehicle technology, working constantly with the team to improve service through understanding of the Client provided technology. The Driver Service Supervisor will review all logs and paperwork from the Drivers, ensure all driver shifts are covered, equipment availability, and ensure daily driver performance and safety on all routes.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supervises Drivers.
  • Monitors Drivers daily.
  • Reviews staff schedules.
  • Creates reports and compiles all necessary documentation both current and historical relating to Driver Service.
  • Counsel and coach Drivers as required by DriveCam events, enforce the procedures and policies delineated in the Employee Handbook, and local division procedures.
  • Respond to Client requests as directed by General Manager.
  • Interface with other division personnel to insure the achievement of division goals.
  • Driving shifts as needed due to call outs or vacancies.
  • Knowledge of the contractual obligations.
  • Knowledge of company policy using consistent measures to assess a Driver`s activity.
  • Other duties as required.

Talent Requirements:

  • California Commercial Driver's License with Passenger Endorsement.
  • Must have at least two (2) years' experience in recent and relevant supervisory position.
  • The ideal candidate would have experience in a Paratransit capacity and have experience in scheduling, personnel management, policy enforcement, and training.
  • Experience in MS Office software is a must.
  • The qualified candidate must be able to work independently and have strong written and verbal skills.
