Job Description

MV Transportation is seeking an Organization Development Manager who is responsible for the strategy and execution of the company's turnover, engagement and performance management programs that are aligned with company's vision and mission. This includes assessing current organizational needs to determine the strategies and solutions to drive results.

Job Responsibilities

  • The primary focus is on efforts to improve the company's turnover and engagement performance by leading efforts and partnering with key leaders at corporate and in the field. This includes:
    • Leading the strategy for turnover and engagement
    • Driving change management to align the company's culture to support the programs
    • Owning the communication, training, and tools
    • Driving the accountability process, including the action planning process and following up to ensure exaction with field leaders
    • Gathering best practices and developing tools and communication to ensure sharing and usage
    • Coaching leaders on effective practices and behaviors
    • Auditing divisions via during site visits
    • Partnering with leaders to ensure turnover calls are structured effectively and next steps are identified
    • Continuously improving the programs, tools, and communication
  • Responsible for the strategy, communication, training, and tools for performance management
    • Driving the accountability process, including the action planning process and following up to ensure exaction with field leaders
  • Partners with leadership throughout the organization to identify new opportunities and develop strategies to improve the company's turnover, engagement, and performance management programs
  • Integrates emerging research and practice-based knowledge into the strategies and programs

Talent Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in I/O Psychology, Organization Development, Human Resources, Business, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Five (5) years or more in Organizational Development/Effectiveness, Talent Development/Management or related area.
  • Leadership and Organizational Development expertise. Successful track record of designing, developing, and delivering leadership and organizational development solutions across functional, geographic, and organizational boundaries to meet business goals.
  • Excellent communication skills. Exceptional interviewing, listening, writing, presentation and facilitation skills. Track record of designing and developing polished and impactful presentations and materials and presenting to audiences and key stakeholders, including senior leadership. Experience creating organizational communications and campaigns to support successful project implementation.
  • High degree of results orientation. Driven to meet deadlines in fast-paced environment. This includes following up and driving participation and execution of the developmental solutions. Track record of balancing multiple priorities simultaneously with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business. Calm under pressure and resilient when faced with change in direction or challenges.
  • Strong stakeholder management and customer service skills. Demonstrated ability to build relationships and effectively collaborate with all levels of leaders across HR and business functions, including senior leadership. Anticipates customer needs and highly responsive to requests. Maintains confidentiality.
  • Experience creating organizational communications and campaigns to support successful project implementation.
  • Project management experience.
  • High degree of results orientation. Driven to meet deadlines in fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to build relationships and effectively collaborate with all levels of leaders across HR and business functions, including senior leadership. Anticipates customer needs and highly responsive to requests. Maintains confidentiality.
