Job Description

MV Transportation is seeking a part-time Reservationist, who under close supervision, operates computerized phone and booking system to answer inbound calls and respond to customer requests over the 7-day week period between 6 am and 7 pm.

Responsibilities:

  • Answers ACD inbound calls to respond to customer requests and updates the computerized booking system with the following:
    • Book and schedule upcoming trips
    • Receive and process cancellations
    • Answer call questions for ride checks
    • Answer questions regarding general information about service
  • Communicate with other customers using TDD equipment
  • Performs other related duties as necessary

  • Principles of business and telephone etiquette
  • Read, write, speak and understand English
  • Understand and follow oral and written instructions and procedures
  • Communicate effectively with others
  • Convey information clearly, accurately, quickly and courteously over the telephone to the public
  • Deal tactfully and effectively with the public and other departmental personnel
  • Respond appropriately to inquiries and requests for information
  • Be keyboard/computer literate and able to input data at 30 net words per minute
  • Job requires the following physical activities: Long periods of sitting
  • Ability to understand and speak an additional language other than English may be required for some positions
  • Position requires ability to work weekends and holidays
