Job Description

MV Transportation is seeking a Scheduler to organize trip requests for service within the requirements established by the American with Disabilities Act and to meet or exceed defined service standards.

Critical Results:

  • 100% of trips scheduled using windows based scheduling software
  • Scheduled and Actual On-Time Performance meets contract requirements
  • Produce efficient routes that maximize Passengers per Hour (PPH) yet keeps Time on Board (OBT) meeting contract requirements.
  • Produce required reports to assist other departments in the management of day to day operations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain good working relationship with leadership and agents in the Solution Center
  • Maintain good working relationship with certain large trip generators
  • Review and edit information for frequently requested locations
  • Make necessary changes to subscription trips to ensure best efficiency

Talent Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of general office practices and procedures
  • Data entry experience and experience with windows based software
  • Knowledge of Orange County
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Understand and follow oral and written instructions and procedures
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions when circumstances dictate

Desired Talent Requirements:

  • Experience in the transit industry
  • Experience with Trapeze scheduling software
  • Ability to speak and understand Spanish
