Job Description

MV Transportation is looking for a User Experience Designer / Engineer. This individual will work with multiple development teams to determine a consistent look and feel, design and user experience across multiple platforms and devices. A successful candidate will have excellent visual design, creative and technical skills, proven user interface design and development experience, possess strong communication skills, and be adept working in a multiple team environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop software using .NET technologies and a working knowledge Java Script and JQuery
  • Develop web interfaces using HTML, CSS, LESS, Sass
  • Develop mobile interfaces for mobile devices
  • Create graphics using Photoshop, Illustrator, MS Expressions or other visual design tools
  • Present visual designs to various key stakeholders
  • Conceptualize original ideas that bring user interface simplicity to complex systems
  • Evaluate user feedback
  • Establish and promote design guidelines, standards, and best practices

Job Experience/Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent software development experience
  • Software development and user design experience using Microsoft technology is required. Transportation/transit experience is a plus
  • Knowledge, skills, and abilities to work in Visual Studio, Photo Shop, C#, MS Office, AGILE and SCRUM Methodology environments
  • Possess the ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
  • Up to date with the latest UI trends and techniques
  • Possess analytical and troubleshooting skills, strong written and verbal communication skills and high degree of multi-tasking skills, Localization and Globalization, Accessibility (ease of use)
  • Primarily works at a single location with limited travel
