Job Description

MV Transportation is seeking a Utility Worker - Janitor. Successful candidate will ensure that the fleet is fully prepared for service and facility is maintained. Pay rate is $11.14/hour.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Vehicle interiors cleaned.
  • Vehicle exteriors cleaned.
  • All fluids topped in each vehicle daily.
  • Office, break, and restroom areas cleaned and trash disposed of properly.
  • Vehicles parked according to facility parking plan.
  • Fuel and fluids inventories tracked and monitored.
  • Fuel logs maintained accurately and up to date for each vehicle and type of fuel/fluid.
  • Vehicle emergency equipment (fire extinguisher, body-fluid kit, first aid kit) fully stocked and functional.
  • All fleet damage documented and communicated to appropriate personnel in the case of unreported damage.
  • Work area maintained according to OSHA and EPA regulations.
  • Maintain adequate stores and accurate inventory of cleaning supplies required.
  • Provide assistance as necessary to office staff in keeping parts inventories accounted for as well as in procurement of necessary parts for fleet and facility maintenance.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.

Talent Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English.
  • Must be able to work a varied schedule, including weekends.
  • Must be 21 with good driving record.
