Job Description

MV Transportation is seeking an Autonomous Vehicle Attendant / Customer Ambassador. The AV Attendant / Customer Ambassador will ensure the safe operation of the Autonomous Vehicle and intervene when needed, perform duties such as greeting passengers, answering questions about the Bus Service, explaining the use of safety equipment, assisting passengers on and off buses as needed.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide boarding assistance to customers.
  • Perform equipment safety checks prior to departure.
  • Open and close doors for passengers.
  • Signal the AV when it is safe to stop or to proceed.
  • Warn pedestrians that the AV is approaching using warning device on the vehicle.
  • Respond to passengers questions, requests, or complaints.
  • Explain and demonstrate safety procedures and safety equipment use.
  • Greet passengers boarding transportation equipment and announce routes and stops.
  • Clean interior of Vehicle daily.
  • Ensure vehicle is charged daily for service.
  • Ability to stand for 8 hours a day.

Talent Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be 21 with a good driving record.
  • Possess excellent communication and decision-making skills.
  • Must have a current Texas Driver License (Minimum Class C).
  • Ability to obtain certifications according to local contract requirements.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English.
  • Ability to work independently and objectively.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • Pre-employment drug screen required.
