Job Description

MV Transportation is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist for our Elk Horn support center. Successful applicant will:

  • Post daily cash receipts into Lawson accounting software
  • Posing of AR invoices and memo's and resolve AR questions and issues as needed for the field
  • Prepare check deposits and deposit to bank as needed
  • Save daily and monthly bank reports as required
  • Order farebox supplies as needed for divisions
  • Provide excellent customer service via in person, phone and email to both internal divisional staff and corporate staff as well as external MV customers
  • Oversee farebox collection process, reporting, and posting
  • Prepare journal entries as needed
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations of general ledger account balances
  • Assist with any external audit requests

  • Strong interpersonal relations and communication skills
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office applications - Excel and Outlook
  • Lawson and Image Now experience is a plus
  • Special projects as assigned
  • Willing to accept other duties as assigned
  • General accounting knowledge a plus
