Job Description

MV Transportation is seeking a Customer Service oriented ETA Clerk to provide direction to and maintain two-way communications with all operators while monitoring system performance and making scheduling adjustments where necessary to maximize on-time performance, minimize customer wait times for on-call or will-call services.

Job Responsibilities:

  • On-Time Performance meets contract requirement.
  • Will-call and live scheduling meet on-time performance, productivity and service expectations.
  • Telephone hold time minimized and within contract requirements.
  • Emergency situations handled according to local policy and with proper notification and documentation.
  • Make sure all ETA calls are answered immediately and serviced within two (2) minutes.
  • Check the cancellation line every hour and make sure trips are being canceled.
  • Maintain two-way communication with operators, providing information on customers, cancellations, and directional assistance where necessary.
  • Monitor operators and trip status and assist to reschedule as needed due to passenger request.
  • Maintain scheduling and performance data in the event of real-time operations.
  • Reconcile trip manifests and fares collected by operators upon check-in.
  • Aid passengers in using the service as well as when inquiring about individual trip status.
  • Communicate effectively with operations staff regarding scheduling or passenger issues.
  • Maintain professional demeanor and appearance.
  • Handle multiple tasks accurately and effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Talent Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in paratransit scheduling utilizing Trapeze PASS, preferred.
  • Possess excellent decision-making skills.
  • Excellent attendance record.
  • Must be flexible to work weekends, holidays and open availability for shifts ranging from 300am to 1200am.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
  • Telephone speaking and/or call center experience.
  • Computer experience required.
